Beginning a journey to live more simply…

The windows for the lower level of the tiny house arrived today, and we wasted no time getting them put in. Thanks to Eric Brennan for showing us how, so much easier than we thought it would be!

We ordered Jeld-Wen wood interior/aluminum exterior double hung Low E windows. Getting highly energy efficient and well insulated windows was a huge priority for us. We also really wanted to go with double hung so we could open them without them sticking out away from the house. This caused us to have to order different sizes than were called for from the Tumbleweed Tiny House plans. Not to worry, however, everything is fitting just fine. The windows were spendy little things, but they sure are nice…

Thank You’s go out as well to Dru Kee, Jamie Rice, and Crystal Haas for their help with the window installation project. What a fun time!
